🐢 Exploring Independence and Curiosity

The Turtles Class is tailored for two-year-olds who are eager to assert their independence and satisfy their growing curiosity. This class offers a balance of structured activities and free exploration, encouraging toddlers to learn through play.

In the Turtles Class, children:

  • Enhance language skills by expanding vocabulary and forming simple sentences
  • Develop fine and gross motor skills through art, music, and movement activities
  • Learn to make choices and express preferences, fostering decision-making abilities
  • Begin to understand and follow simple instructions and classroom routines

Our nurturing environment supports each child's social, emotional, and cognitive growth, preparing them for the next stage in their educational journey.

Are there any other considerations when it comes to placing children in classes besides age?

Yes. While age cutoffs (as of September 1) guide class placement, we also consider developmental readiness, potty training status, social-emotional needs, and class dynamics. We work closely with families to ensure each child is placed where they’ll thrive.

Although my child is toilet-trained, what if they have an accident while at school?

Accidents happen, even with fully toilet-trained children! Please send your child with a full change of clothes in their backpack each day. Our teachers handle these moments with kindness and discretion, and will always help your child change and feel comfortable.

Is potty training required?

No. Potty training is not expected in the Crabs or Turtles class.

What do they learn in the Turtles class?

Turtles develop independence, expand vocabulary, and learn basic routines through hands-on activities, music, Chapel, and sensory play.

What events does the preschool offer throughout the year?

Our calendar includes Trunk or Treat, Thanksgiving Feast, Christmas Program, Easter Parade, Mother’s/Father’s Day events, Graduation, and more.
