Our Staff

Our Staff

We have assembled a staff of teachers that we believe is second to none. Our staff is fully trained to take the best care of your child and to help them develop a habit of learning that will last a lifetime.

  • Beth Martin

This is her 9th year at our preschool.  She has a BA in English from Florida State University and taught middle school English for eight years before coming to preschool.  Her favorite part of The Preschool in San Marco is the sense of community we have established. “I love that all of the teachers’ own children attended this preschool.  We started as moms and stayed because we loved it so much.  I enjoy seeing all of our old families return with younger siblings and the lifelong friendships that start here.”  Beth and her husband Travis have three children William (9), Ellie (6), and Benjamin (4).

  • Tabitha Galbreath

    Crab Teacher

Tabitha is our 1-year-old Crab teacher.  This is her 20th year at our preschool, and she has her CDA.  Her favorite part of teaching is seeing the uniqueness of each child.  “My family grows each year when I add new children to my class and heart.  They are each so different, and I love seeing their little personalities.”  Ms. Tabby and her husband Bill have two children Grady (22) and Trevor (19).

  • Kelly Rumbach

    Turtle Teacher

Kelly is our 2-year-old Turtle teacher.  This is her 9th year working in our 2-year-old classroom and her 20th year working with children.  Her favorite part of teaching is seeing the growth of her students.  “They come in as babies barely talking, and they leave speaking in sentences and have established their independence.  The physical and emotional change I see over the course of the school year is amazing.”  Ms. Kelly and her husband Daniel have two children Lucas (12) and Ephraim (10).

  • Emma Anderson

    Fish Teacher

Emma is our 3-year-old Fish teacher.  This is her 1st year at our preschool, but she has worked with children for several years.  She has been a member of Southside Baptist Church since 2008, and she is excited to join the preschool staff. “It has been a vision of the church for a long time to have a preschool in the building, and it is such a blessing to now be a part of it.”  Ms. Emma recently graduated from Berry College with a degree in Music Education, and she also recently got married to her husband Paul.

  • Shaunna Pearson

    Whale Teacher

Shaunna is our 4-year-old Whale teacher.  She has worked at our preschool for 12 years and has her CDA and is VPK certified.  Her favorite part of teaching is seeing how much they grow while in her class.  “They start the year not knowing how to cut or hold a pencil, and they end a year writing their name and knowing sight words.  I love that I get to contribute to preparing them for kindergarten.”  Ms. Shaunna and her husband Chuck have three children Tre (16), Trinity (14), and Colton (6).

  • Katie Eliopulos

    Whale Teacher

Katie is our 4-year-old Whale teacher.  This is her seventh year at our preschool, and she said she loves teaching.  “The best part is watching the smile on a student’s face when they work hard and master a new skill, whether it is writing their name, pumping on a swing, or forming a new friendship.”  Ms. Katie and her husband Jason have three children Kayla (19), Cole (12), and Luke (10).
